The topic I will like to talk about is the shooting that happened in front of our school on the last days of the 08 year. I only remember having to stay in school because they wanted to lock the school down to make sure our surroundings were clear and safe to go home. That was a very scary moment for all of us because they didn’t catch the person that did it yet so he or she could have been wondering anywhere. I want to write about this topic because it happened right in front of our school and this matter should be addressed. there wasn't a source that i could find on this, but i just wanted to talk about this matter and just get to the bottom of what happened and who was behind it. someone should really cover this story because it happened just outside of our school.

Yes, I was hoping someone would write about that incident. It was a dreadful way to end the school year and start the summer. It seems like there was a lot more shootings and violent incidents through the summer. I wonder what you can do with this article. Could you contact the District Attorney's office or the media contact from the Police Department regarding the status of the case? I think a lot of Burton students, parents and even staff would want to know. And you can follow up with interviews of students and their reactions to the violence?
